West Melbourne’s premier address, Gadsden has topped out.
PDG was joined by construction partner Hamilton Marino and key stakeholders at an intimate ceremony to celebrate this significant milestone in the construction phase.
During the evening, an olive tree ceremony took place on Level 11, overlooking views of Docklands and the Melbourne city skyline, followed by refreshments at Sassy Italian Restaurant on Dryburgh Street.
PDG Construction Manager, Josh Griffiths spoke of the enormous effort and determination that it had taken to reach such a milestone:
“Topping out this large and complex structure is a major milestone for the project and holds us in good stead to deliver on our objectives during the first half of 2023. Gadsden is another landmark project for PDG and we are extremely excited to present the finished product to our purchasers throughout the upcoming settlement process.”
Hamilton Marino’s team led by Project Manager, Nathan Walsh, mentioned the significance of PDG’s continual partnership with HMB in delivering such a successful outcome. Together, PDG and HMB have collaborated on five projects to date, including the current residential development, Boyd Village in Southbank.
Gadsden, located adjacent to North Melbourne train station and only a short walk to Queen Victoria Market, Errol Street and the CBD, will provide residents with a lifestyle that perfectly captures the community ambience and rich local culture on offer.
A range of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments are complemented by exclusive townhouses wrapped in the historic façade of J. Gadsden’s iconic tin smithing and canning factory.
“A big thank you to Melcorp Projects for managing the sale of the development which has allowed this project to become reality. Many developers and estate agents have struggled for Off The Plan sales in recent times; however, Melcorp has accommodated the markets’ needs and really flourished,” said Josh Griffiths.
Gadsden settlement is set to take place in the first half of 2023.
