A NEW PREMIUM BUILD TO RENT DEVELOPMENT IS COMING TO WEST MELBOURNE.
PDG’s Adderley Street development will deliver 105 purpose‑built rental apartments, ranging from studios to three‑bedroom residences. At least 50 per cent of the apartments will be delivered as affordable housing, supporting key workers and local residents close to major employment hubs including the Victoria Police Centre, the Royal Melbourne Hospital precinct and the University of Melbourne.
The project forms part of PDG’s growing build‑to‑rent portfolio, combining considered architecture by Life Architecture with a strong focus on sustainability and socially focused design. The building will be operated by St George Community Housing, a specialist provider of affordable and community housing.
Resident amenity will include a ground‑floor outdoor terrace, as well as rooftop co‑working spaces, dining facilities and a shared terrace with expansive views across the city skyline. The development is designed to support everyday living, community connection and long‑term rental security.
Sustainability is embedded throughout the project, with all apartments delivered as electric‑only residences supported by on‑site solar generation. The building is targeting strong performance in energy efficiency and resident wellbeing, with secure bicycle parking, EV charging infrastructure and close proximity to public transport encouraging connected living.
Construction of Adderley Street has commenced, with completion expected in 2027.
